Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s HitRecord And LG Team Up In ‘Creative Partnership’: What Could They Be Working On?
LG and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are teaming up to help artists, and just about anyone, make meaningful memories come together. The mobile company is partnering with Gordon-Levitt’s, HitRecord, to create a series of projects set to take place over the coming months.
According to reports, LG wants to help emerging artists find their voice, platform and medium, and Gordon-Levitt’s company is a perfect venue for those very young artists to come and make art together.
The first collaboration between LG and HitRecord will be a short film to be created with members of the HitRecord community using their phones to capture “In-Between Moments” to be turned into “little pieces of art” as part of a larger piece of art.
“It’s a good thing a tech company will be supporting a short film like this, because often times in these in-between moments in our lives what we do first is reach for a phone,” Levitt explains in a video to announce the partnership as well as the short film project.
The In-Between Moments project is open to anyone whether they are professional artists or simple people who want to capture precious life memories with their phone camera.
To highlight its dedication to helping ordinary people capture beautiful memories, LG emphasizes its LG G4 smartphone with the lens and technology built in to let even amateur and hobby photographers take near-DSLR photo quality images with just a click of a button.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt himself appears in a video on LG’s Facebook page to provide the details about the collaboration and how to get involved in the In-Between Moments short film project.
Listen to Joseph Gordon-Levitt Sing – and Help Him Make a Song
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, 33, sent out a request for musicians on his creative collaboration platform, hitRECord, on Thursday by sharing a new song featuring himself on lead vocals.
The ’80s-inspired tune, “Ready Aim Fire,” started when a musician shared an instrumental track on the site, leading to another collaborator to pen lyrics and Gordon-Levitt to contribute the vocals.
Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard the actor’s smooth singing voice – he’s performed songs with(500) Days of Summer costar Zooey Deschanel and gone on tour with hitRECord, where he’s performed covers of various songs.
Gordon-Levitt founded hitRECord in 2005 as a way to get writers, musicians, artists and filmmakers to collaborate and give feedback on each other’s work.
Listen to “Ready Aim Fire” on hitRECord, and if you’re inspired by what you hear, Gordon-Levitt and his team are accepting contributions to the song through their site until Jan. 30.
The finished product will be shared on a new episode of hitRECord on TV.
